Stretch out and enjoy some tunes, from up-and-coming local bands to established regional and national musicians, in the Museum’s courtyard.
Seating begins at 6:30 pm
Lawn chairs and blankets welcome.
Alcohol and concessions available for sale (only alcohol purchased on site is allowed). Come early and explore our new exhibit, "agriCULTURE: Art Inspired by the Land"! Galleries are open from 5 - 9 pm on Thursday nights.
Gingerbomb, July 27
Redheads are often considered a rare commodity. However, against all odds, a group of seasoned ginger musicians miraculously united to form the world’s first all-ginger supergroup—Gingerbomb. Together, they craft a sound based in rock, country and folk.

Join Community Health Workers from Mental Health Partners for simple wellness activities in our main area in Children and Teen Services. They will visit us every 4th Friday to share resources on mental health for youth and share tips for mental wellness.

Volunteers from the Longmont Genealogical Society offer their time, knowledge, and assistance to the public one Saturday each month. Participants are guided on how to search for their ancestors and use the various resources available both in and out of the library.
Wherever you are in your search, these volunteers can help! Gather any information you have -- name(s), a date of birth or death, a place, etc. and see what you can discover.

Outdoor Concert: An Evening with the Longmont All-Star Jazz Band

Join us for a night of great jazz on the Library's West patio. The Longmont All-Star Jazz Band is made up of some of the local high schools' best players.
The 17-player band is directed by longtime teacher Bill Wilkinson, who started the band in 2001. The group has played at Dazzle Night Club in Denver, performed with the Lawrence Welk Band in Missouri and at the Olympic Torch ceremony in 2002!
Registration is NOT required, and there will be limited seating provided by the Library on the patio. Please bring lawn chairs if you are able.

VR Silver: Virtual Reality for Older Adults with Tech Pals

Tech Pals brings virtual reality to the Library! Seniors 55 years and older can participate in virtual reality simulations (including traveling to the 7 Wonders of the World, VR fishing, scuba diving, mini golf and more) while also experiencing benefits like coginitive simulation, pain management, stress reduction and more. Additionally, we will bring a TV screen to enhance the experience and allow others to see what the participants are viewing.
Research Surveys
To ensure the success of Tech Pals' research, participants will be required to complete two short surveys. The initial survey, a 5-minute, 10-question questionnaire, will be administered prior to the VR experience, followed by a similar survey after the session. These surveys will provide Tech Pals with valuable insights into the impact of virtual reality on the well-being and quality of life of older adults.

Magic Wand Workshop - REGISTER

Children ages 3-7 years old, along with their parents or caregivers, are invited to join us to create their own magic wand to take home! We will practice imagination games to help with bedtime (or any!) transition. Parents and caregivers will learn how to implement these games for peaceful and connecting transitions.
Susanne Benton, NCTMB, will lead this program. Susanne combines her experience as a preschool teacher with her expertise as a nationally board certified massage therapist into a resource for parents. She offers creative mindfulness techniques and stories to help parents connect with their kids and relax into successful bedtimes. Participants will receive a free copy of Susanne's book, Mind, Body, Bedtime: Peaceful Games to Make Kids Sleepy.

Chuckwagon Breakfast

Longmont Twin Peaks Rotary is back for its annual Chuckwagon Breakfast to welcome the Boulder County Fair Parade. Saturday, August 5th from 6:30am-9:30am we'll be serving pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, and milk to raise funds for our local SVVSD graduating seniors. The event takes place at 4th and Kimbark.
This is our largest fundraiser of the year and requires over 30 Rotarians to make it successful. We laugh and dance together while we flip pancakes and stir eggs. Many Rotarians have participated for over 25 years, and even a youngster joins us on the pancake line - a Rotarian in training!
Costs are $10 for Adults and $5 for Kids under 12. Please bring cash morning of, or pre-purchase tickets at www.twinpeaksrotary.org

Tech Class: Internet Basics: Surfing the Web Safely and Securely

In this session, we will cover the basic fundamentals of internet security, how to establish secure passwords and password storage advice. We will also examine anti-spam and anti-phishing security measures and how to avoid viruses, spyware, and emails that are dangerous. Lastly, we look at secure payment solutions for buying and conducting business online.
