The fourth annual Nepali Jatra, a free event celebrating the heritage and culture of Nepal, took place on July 19. The event featured authentic Nepali folk music and dance performances by local artists and community groups, traditional Nepali clothes and jewelry, Nepali food stalls featuring home-style Nepali dishes like momo and sel roti, Nepali arts and crafts, and more. Nepali Jatra also received a Proclamation from Longmont Mayor Joan Peck at the event, and legendary musician Prakash Gurung was honored for his lifelong contribution to Nepali music.
