A community reception is scheduled for April 6 at the Longmont Museum to recruit people to serve in a variety of positions that promote culture and the arts in the city.
The “Longmont Art and Culture Community Reception” will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., at the museum, 400 Quail Road.
Anyone interested in influencing creative culture projects in Longmont is invited, Angela Brill, spokeswoman for Longmont’s Art in Public Places. “We’re recruiting for AIIP commissioners, Museum Advisory Board members, helping us communicate about upcoming AIIP projects and recruiting selection panelists,” Brill said.
People can also just chat about public art in Longmont at the event, she said.
