Today's youth seem to utilize the ever-changing trends in technology more and more every day. Parents and educators grow more concerned about the impacts today's technology has on our youth.
The education staff at Flagstaff Academy, located at 2040 Miller Drive, Longmont, have heard parents' pleas. They are finding new ways to educate parents about screen time.
"We really want to be a community hub for areas of concern," says Flagstaff Academy Communication Coordinator Lisa Trank-Greene.
On Tuesday, April 9, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., students 10+, parents and community members are invited to see a special screening of the documentary 'Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age.' There is no cost to see the film.
'Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age' is an award-winning documentary by Dr. Delaney Ruston. It explores the impact of screen technology on kids and families.
Following the film, a discussion will be held with Flagstaff Academy's Middle School Counselor, Jantrey Meyer.
