Holiday schedules for City facilities
Most City facilities will be closed Monday, June 20 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. The Waste Diversion Center will be closed. Trash, recycling and compost will be collected one day later. The Longmont Museum and some recreation facilities will remain open. Find schedules at LongmontColorado.gov/Holidays.

City hosts Bike to Work breakfast stations on June 22
Bike to Work Day is on Wednesday, June 22 and the City of Longmont will be hosting two Bike to Work Day Breakfast Stations: the Civic Center station located at 350 Kimbark Street and the Service Center station located at 1100 S. Sherman Street. Both events will take place between 7 and 9 am. Bike to Work Day is a Colorado tradition and is a great way to get back on your bike and bike to work (or bike around your neighborhood before logging on for work). Watch bike trail riding videos
Smart Commute is the City of Longmont’s local Bike to Work Day resource, and they are launching several “Ride Preview” videos each week leading up to Bike to Work Day. The videos are a great way to see the trail you might ride first hand at https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLf3XDWgvWAzGEbl7IFK_fD8gTISTEFPnQ.

Coffee with Council on Saturday, June 25
Longmont City Council will host an in-person Coffee with Council from 9-10 am on Saturday, June 25, at Hearthstone at Hover Crossing (LHA), 1762 Cook Court. Free community night – LOCO Ukuleles
Sing along with LOCO Ukuleles, one of the largest ukulele groups in the area starting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, June 21, at the Sandstone Ranch Visitors Center, 3001 Sandstone Drive. LOCO Ukuleles delivers a fun-filled, toe-tapping time for all ages. Please carpool, dress for the outdoor weather and park in the upper parking lot, taking the walking trail to the Visitors Center. Final downtown summer concert: Friday, June 24
The final Downtown street concerts will take place at Fourth Avenue and Kimbark Street from 6-9 pm on Friday, June 24. Head downtown for free music, dancing, food trucks, local craft beverages, kids activities and family-friendly community fun. Museum kids’ film & free outdoor concert
The Museum’s Kid’s Film Series and Summer Outdoor Concerts continue this week! Starting at 10 am on Tuesday, June 21, Soul (2020, PG) will be shown on the big screen inside the Stewart Auditorium at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Admission is $3/child. Then, stop by the Museum from 6:30-8 pm on Thursday, June 23, for a free special performance by the Mile High Powwow Dance Experience! Join us for a breathtaking showcase of Native American dance accompanied by local powwow drum groups and storytelling featuring members of our local native artist community. National Night Out — Thursday, Aug. 2
Longmont will celebrate National Night Out (NNO) from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 2. NNO is a nationwide annual celebration to strengthen neighborhoods and promote safety and neighborhood unity. Residents across Longmont will celebrate by hosting block parties, cookouts, lemonade and cookies, and other activities. Longmont Public Safety will have firefighters, police officers and volunteers out that night to meet and greet neighbors attending NNO events.
