Three generations of Longmont pageant winners embarked on their journey to New York Fashion Week during the week of Sept. 7-13, where they showcased their fashion line on the grandest stage of the fashion world right in the spotlight of Times Square at the heart of the Big Apple.

Jamie Gaston, alongside her daughters Ashlyn Marie and Kynslie Rose, collaborated with Supermodels Unlimited Magazine for New York Fashion Week and participated in a variety of shows as the highlight of their fashion week experience.

Jamie Gaston held the title of Ms. Colorado, while her daughter Ashlyn was Junior Teen Colorado. Additionally, Gaston's mother was recognized as a Colorado Supermodel Icon, and Kynslie holds the title of Little Miss Colorado.

"This is like the ultimate in fashion … I started here and ended up here. This is the ultimate VIP experience in the heart of New York City, the fashion capital of the world. This is pretty big time," Gaston said.

Their New York Fashion Week adventure was multifaceted. Among the exciting shows they graced was the "Don't Stop the Music" charity runway event, which also served as a fundraiser. The Gaston family wasn't just there to look good; they actively contributed to the cause and made an on-site donation, making an impact during their visit.

"We help contribute, and then we get to present a check on-site to them. So that is a really awesome cause," Gaston said.

Adding further glamour to their itinerary, the Gastons strutted their stuff for Kimbo Couture, a clothing line curated by none other than Jordan Campbell, known for his stint on "The Bachelor." Additionally, they served as models for pieces created by a Project Runway designer, infusing a unique touch into the musically-inspired fashion show.

However, the icing on the cake for the Gaston family was the debut of their very own fashion line. Witnessing their creations come to life on such a prestigious platform is a dream come true.

"My daughter Ashlynn and I actually created our own line. And our line debuts on the runway in New York Fashion Week as well,"Gaston said.

In the midst of their whirlwind experience, Gaston encouraged her daughters and all aspiring individuals to pursue their passions relentlessly.

"Follow your dreams, nothing is too big. Keep working towards what you want in life," Gaston said.

Gaston's roots in Longmont run deep, as she attended school here from grade school through college. Following the footsteps of her parents and grandparents, who were also Longmont natives and alumni of Longmont High School, Gaston has remained closely connected to her hometown.

Beyond her role as a mother, Gaston wears many hats — she is an esthetician, wellness and life coach, a small business owner and a single mother raising three children. Her extensive experience in modeling includes print fashion ad modeling at the former Twin Peaks Mall.

In Fall 2022, her 11-year-old daughter, Ashlyn, took her first steps into the world of Fashion Week in Denver. Ashlyn not only made her debut as a designer but also walked the runway during the Couture Kids show. Ashlyn designed her own clothes through Factory Fashion and proudly walked for the designer Kim Likes Clothes.
