Construction on roads is still happening around town. Here is a list of the latest road closures and constructions zones as released by the city of Longmont.
Mountain View Avenue and Main Street: Streets in this area are expected to remain closed for asphalt and street paving from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Nov. 22. This area has been under construction for a while and has recently experienced some delays due to cold temperatures.
On Nov. 12, Grandview Meadows Drive between Nelson Road and Clover Basin Drive will be closed for the annual Turkey Trot. This event will also impact the westbound lane of Nelson Road between Gooseberry Drive and Disc Drive and the westbound lane of Clover Basin Drive between Grandview Meadows Drive and Eagan Circle. Closures are temporary and will vary in the length of time. Drivers should expect Grandview Meadows Drive to be closed from 8-11:30 a.m.
Sunset Street will be closed during work hours — 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. — while workers install a waterline. Detours are available on Hover and Frances streets. The construction is expected to end on Wednesday.
