The Good Life Refuge, which this summer launched a series of plant-based cooking classes, will continue the effort on Saturday with a 45-minute virtual vegan cheesemaking class.

Attendees of the class sponsored by Doolittle Farm will learn how to make tofu-based Gorgonzola and feta, as well as a cashew ricotta from Doolittle Farm’s own Keith Hughes.

The goal of the series is to make vegan eating accessible and attainable, Nicole Brecht, founder and president of the Good Life, said last year when the classes launched.

Registration is required for the cheesemaking class and attendees have the option of making either a $15 or $20 donation. All proceeds will go to the Good Life to care for the more than dozen residents of the sanctuary for formerly abused or neglected farm animals.

Correction: Keith Hughes was misidentified in the original posting of this story.
