Original story: As a thank you to the thousands of community members who subscribe to our daily newsletter, The Daily, we have partnered with the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) to give away $300 in downtown gift cards!
LDDA gift cards can be used at one of the 70 participating Downtown businesses.
The possibilities are endless with LDDA gift cards. Treat yourself to a hometown stay-cation, grab some coffee, find a new outfit, treat yourself to a massage, hairstyle, or spa treatment, grab a delicious meal, or bring home dinner for the family!
Using the gift card Downtown is “like choosing your own adventure,” Colin Argys, LDDA marketing and events coordinator said, adding there is something for everyone. “We pride ourselves on being the home to unique and individual and family-owned, independently-owned businesses. There are not a lot of chains that you can find elsewhere (in Downtown). It is definitely a unique experience.”
The costs of the gift card program is placed on LDDA and not the businesses themselves, allowing the money spent to stay with the business, Argys said. However, “businesses don’t actually see the money until the gift card is actually spent,” he said. “If you have a Downtown gift card sitting around, please use it, so businesses can take advantage of that money.”
The gift card recipient for this giveaway will be selected on April 7, 2021, at random from the list of people signed up to receive The Longmont Leader’s email newsletter, The Daily.
