The Longmont Public Library will host an in-person Authors We Love series event with author and wilderness explorer Dr. Jon Kedrowski. Kedrowski will discuss his new book, “Classic Colorado Hikes: Lakes, Loops, and High Ridge Traverses” starting at 6:30 pm on Monday, July 25, inside the City Council Chambers, Civic Center, located at 350 Kimbark St.
Kedrowski will also do a multimedia presentation highlighting the mountains and high mountain lakes of Colorado, as well as trip planning and weather and climate conditions in Colorado for the recreational hiker. As a bonus, Kedrowski will tease his recent expeditions to both Everest and Winter K2. He will discuss the strategy, risk management and weather considerations for climbing these 26,000-plus feet giants.
Dr. Kedrowski's books will be for sale, and he will be available to sign copies after the talk.
There is no charge for this program; however, reservations are required due to limited seating. Free registration is available at bit.ly/LibPrograms or by calling 303-651-8472.
