NEWS RELEASE
LONGMONT EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
*************************
On July 27, 2021, at approximately 7:26 AM, the Longmont Emergency Communications Center received a call of two males fighting in the driveway of a home located in the 300 block of Mountain View Avenue.
During the altercation, Marshall Aamodt threatened to kill the victim with a knife. As the argument progressed, the victim entered a vehicle and fled. As the victim was driving away from the residence, Marshall Aamodt fired several pistol rounds at the moving vehicle, using the neighboring houses as a back-drop. No other parties were struck, and at this time, we cannot determine if any of the homes were hit.
Marshall fled the area and was possibly dropped off in the Denver area. A search of the residence and vehicle he fled in did not yield the firearm.
Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Marshall Neil Aamodt, age 30, for the following charges: 18-3-102(1)(d) Attempted First Degree Murder Extreme Indifference (F2), 18-3-206(1)(a) Felony Menacing (F5), 18-3-208 Reckless Endangerment (M3), and 18-12-107.5 Attempted Illegal Discharge of a Firearm (F6 ). Please use caution if you contact him as he is considered armed.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mr. Aamodt or has pertinent information is asked to immediately call the Longmont Emergency Communications Center at (303) 651-8501.
