PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION

DENVER — The Public Utilities Commission (PUC), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), and an Administrative Law Judge will conduct a remote public comment hearing on Wednesday, November 17, to take comments and ask questions regarding the resulting modifications to the Commission’s statutory authority through the adoption of Senate Bill 20-118, Senate Bill 21-260, and House Bill 21-1206.

Senate Bill 21-118 relates to the transportation of hazardous and nuclear materials, Senate Bill 21-260 addresses transportation infrastructure and impacts transportation companies such as Lyft and Uber, and Senate Bill 21-1206 relates to Medicaid transportation services.

The public comment hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and last until concluded, but no later than 5:00 p.m. Individuals who wish to provide public comments during the hearing may do so either by telephone or computer. Detailed instructions on how to participate by phone or computer can be found in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking setting the public comment hearing.

The proposed rulemaking reviews and considers revisions to Commission rules regarding motor vehicles that may need to be amended or eliminated due to the implementation of Senate Bill 20-118, Senate Bill 21-260, and House Bill 21-1206. This rulemaking will ensure that PUC rules and regulations are congruent with recently passed legislation.

Individuals who wish to review the proposed rulemaking prior to the public comment hearing can access it through the PUC’s E-Filings system, searching for proceeding number 21R-0467TR.

Members of the public who are unable to attend the remote public comment hearing may also submit written comments about the proposal by using the PUC’s on-line comment form at https://puc.colorado.gov/puccomments under proceeding 21R-0467TR.
