BOULDER COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH

Boulder County Public Health urges members of the community to continue testing for COVID 19. As we work to move forward and gradually ease restrictions, it is important to continue getting tested.
Following safety guidelines such as social distancing, wearing a mask and testing help stop the spread of COVID-19.
“As more people are vaccinated, effective testing and quarantine measures are still important ways stop the spread of COVID-19 in the community,” said Chris Campbell, Boulder County Public Health Emergency Manager. “We cannot let our guard down just yet.”
Community members should follow the instructions on how to quarantine after exposure to stop the spread of the virus and watch for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days. It’s possible to spread COVID-19 even if people don’t experience any symptoms.
If people have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to the virus, they should stay away from others and get tested 5-7 days after exposure. They should also follow the instructions on how to isolate, even if they don’t experience symptoms.
“Until every community member who would like a vaccine receives one, it is crucial for us to remain vigilant,” Campbell added. “Testing is free, easy to access, and results are returned quickly. It takes all of us to end the pandemic!”
As more people get vaccinated this summer and emerging needs change, BCPH will evaluate ongoing testing sites. There are two free, convenient locations in Boulder County at Boulder County Fairgrounds and Stazio Ball Fields.
