What Can You Expect at Discovery Days?
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
9–10:15 am, 10:30–11:45 am, 12:30–1:45 pm

Each week, Ms. Leigh prepares a variety of themed arts and crafts activities for you and your child to explore materials and creation techniques.

Next week of March 2, 3, & 4 we will:

  • Increase hand eye coordination by pinching and placing small bits of paper, tape, stickers, etc.
  • Practice pencil grip by drawing lines with markers and painting
  • Work on handskills by manipulating new materials
  • Enhance cutting skills by cutting different types of paper

Sensory experiences you may encounter:

  • Sticky glue on fingers
  • Sticky tape on fingers
  • Wet paint on hands
  • Fluttery coffee filters
  • Wearing an apron to keep clean while painting
  • Wearing a face covering/mask in the classroom

And as always, you can expect variety of noises and voices in the classroom: some joyful, some loud, some quiet, and some just learning how to navigate this world.
