NEWS RELEASE
BOULDER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
*************************
On Wednesday at noon., Sheriff Joe Pelle rescinded the Level 2 Fire Restrictions that were in place for unincorporated areas of western Boulder County. Increased relative humidity, cooler temperatures and shorter days have decreased fire danger.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, along with federal, state and local partners, will continue to work together to evaluate conditions and the need for any future restrictions.
Residents are reminded that although the fire restrictions are not in effect, there are still permit requirements in place for slash burning and broadcast burns, also known as prescribed fires. Permits are available online at www.bouldercounty.org/safety/
