Boulder County recognizes the many challenges facing small businesses in Unincorporated Boulder County as they navigate our rapidly changing economic environment. To aid eligible businesses, the county is partnering with Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) to offer one-time grants up to $5,000 for eligible small businesses in Unincorporated Boulder County.

The Boulder County Small Business Grants Program will provide a total of $225,000 in grants through this one-time competitive grant program. Applications will be open until Friday, April 19, at 5 p.m. Grant awards are scheduled to be announced and distributed in June 2024.

“Increases in the cost of doing business from rent and supplies to labor and marketing are all on the rise,” said Alison Ecklund, Communications Manager for the Office of County Administrator, which manages the countywide Economic Vitality function. “Providing this grant opportunity along with the ongoing consulting support of the professionals at Boulder County’s Small Business Development Center offers assistance as we continue to learn about the specific needs of small businesses in the County’s unincorporated areas. We hope this grant can provide some relief.”

“As a nonprofit, small-business lender, CEF is pleased to partner with Boulder County for this grant program supporting small businesses,” added Nim Patel, CEF Chief Strategy Officer.
