Local church opens free food pantry

Pantry provides judgement-free way to help neighbors.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church (BLC), Thursday, announced the Pratt St. Little Free Pantry. The Pratt St. Little Free Pantry is a free-standing pantry located on the East side of the 1500 block of Pratt St., open to everyone in the community and offers a new way for neighbors to care for neighbors with anonymity without judgement.

“At its most basic, the Pratt St. Little Free Pantry facilitates community,” says Chili, the pantry administrator from BLC. “You don’t have to be a member of BLC to participate in the mission of the pantry. Regardless of religion, race, or economic status the Pratt St. Little Free Pantry is for you. You are invited to visit the pantry to take what you need or leave what can.”

Little Free Pantries provide tremendous benefits to the community:

  • Anonymous, judgement free support between neighbors.
