Keep Calm & Read On, 9 to 11 a.m., on Facebook and Twitter
Looking for a good eBook or eAudiobook to read while you're at home? We can help. Just log on to our Facebook and Twitter pages and watch for our post at 9 am. Comment or reply with the titles of 3 books you really enjoyed, and we'll name one (or more) that might strike your fancy. And if our first suggestion(s) don't work for you, let us know — we'll keep going until we find that next great book for you!
¡Hablemos! Let's Talk!, noon to 1 p.m., on Webex
Get to know other language learners while practicing conversations in Spanish or English. This virtual meet-up is free and open to anyone wanting to practice their language skills. It is recommended that participants have at least an intermediate level of Spanish to effectively participate. We'll choose themes and games that will be entertaining and interesting to all of us. It's easy. Just register and you'll be sent instructions to join the meeting in your confirmation email.
Virtual Dungeons & Dragons, Tuesdays, 6 to 7:30 p.m., on Webex
Calling all D&D lovers! Sixth through 12th graders who have some experience playing Dungeons & Dragons are invited to come and play friendly campaigns online. The most experienced players will Dungeon Master and more experienced players will help along players without as much experience. This is a kid-powered program! Participants will have to work together cooperatively to create the playing experience. New players may join but there is no specific instruction provided for beginners. Registration is required; register for one or more sessions at a time. Instructions for joining the online meeting will be sent in a follow-up email.

Baby Storytime, 11 to 11:20 a.m., on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter
An interactive storytime designed for infants to age 2 and their grownup. Enjoy 20 minutes of short stories, lots of songs, rhymes, bouncing, and fun for child and grownup to build language and pre-literacy skills!
Teen Writers' Group Online, first and third Wednesdays of the month, 4 to 5 p.m., during June and July, on Webex
Come hang out with our writing group just for sixth through 12th graders! We'll gather virtually, share creative writing tips, respond to writing prompts, and write together. Bring something you're working on, or start a new writing project. No writing experience necessary, and all are welcome. Registration is required for each meeting; register for one or more meetings. Information on how to join virtual meetings will be sent to you via email.
Anime-niacs: Online Adult Anime Club, third Wednesday of the month, 6 to 8 p.m. on Zoom
Join the Grey Havens group online as they host a meetup for adults interested in discussing and sharing anime. It's easy:

Thursday
Crafternoon Challenge, every Thursday on Facebook and Twitter
Get creative with us this summer through our weekly "Crafternoon" Challenge. Every Thursday in June and July look for a new craft activity, geared toward kids of all ages. Follow our instructions or be inspired to create something of your own. Crafts designed to be completed with accessible materials. Don't have materials at home? Look out for our weekly take-home craft kits available for pick-up starting June 8 at the Library's curbside pick-up. While supplies last. Document your Crafternoon creations by sending us a photo of your art through Facebook or email us.

Family Storytime, 11 to 11:30 am, on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter
A 30-minute Friday fun storytime designed for children of all ages and their grown ups. Lots of fun picture books will be shared along with movement and age-appropriate stories and games to help your children become ready to read.
Teen Virtual Variety Hour, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Webex
Every Friday, join teen librarians Claire and David on Webex from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for a fun break from the world. New activities and topics each week... charades, book discussions, escape rooms, and scavenger hunts are all on the menu. Ideas for future programs welcome! For 6th through 12th graders only, register here, and we'll email you with the login details.
Saturday
"Say Hello!" Informal Online English Conversation Group, 10 to 11 a.m., on Webex
Practice conversation with others interested in improving their English in an informal, conversational setting.We recommend attendees have an intermediate level of English to effectively participate, but everyone is welcome! Conversations are conducted entirely in English and are guided by a native English speaker. It's easy. Just register and you'll be sent instructions to join the meeting in your confirmation email.
Kids Virtual Variety Hour, Saturdays in June and July, 1 to 2 p.m., via Webex
Join us Saturdays in June and July for a kids-only Virtual Variety Hour on Webex! Each week we will offer a different interactive activity — games, art tutorials, crafts, book talks, etc. This program is designed for those entering third through fifth grades to connect with friends and have some fun this Summer. Librarians Kathleen and David look forward to seeing you soon! Just register and you'll receive instructions via email to connect to the Webex meeting. You may register for one or more sessions at a time.
Genealogy Basics Online with the Longmont Genealogy Society, fourth Saturday of the month, via Zoom, 10 a.m. to noon
Volunteers from the Longmont Genealogical Society offer their time, knowledge, and assistance to the public one Saturday each month. Participants are guided on how to search for their ancestors and use the various resources available both in and out of the library. Gather any information you have — name(s), a date of birth or death, a place, etc. and see what you can discover! It's easy to join — just register on the Longmont Genealogical Society website, and you'll be sent a link and instructions on how to join the online meeting.

Virtual Rainbow Storytime, Monday, June 22, 6 to 6:30 pm on Out Boulder County's Facebook pageFamilies are invited to a special Rainbow Storytime in celebration of National LGBTQ+ Pride Month and Longmont Pride Week with Librarian Claire. Come enjoy stories, rhymes, and fun while celebrating diversity and inclusion of all kinds of people and families! All families are invited, but the program is best for those with children aged toddler through elementary school. A book list of great reading suggestions will also be available. Part of the Diversity Storytime series and a partnership with Out Boulder County.
