NEWS RELEASE
LONGMONT PUBLIC LIBRARY
*************************
For adults seeking to complete their high school diploma or learn English as a new language, COVID-19 has added new barriers to their ability to do so. The Learning Source Boulder County is partnering with librarians from the Longmont Public Library to remove some of those barriers by offering free, online General Equivalency Degree (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Registration is required but is completely free, and the Learning Source will provide the learning materials for the GED classes.  Both classes require attendance at orientation sessions in early January and some simple class placement testing. Classes are for anyone 17 or older regardless of background, and class attendance is required. Visit the library’s website or The Learning Source for more information and to register.
