NEWS RELEASE
LONGMONT PUBLIC LIBRARY
*************************
Pop in your earbuds and get ready for a whole new way to get book recommendations from your local librarians. On Jan. 8 at 8 a.m., the Longmont Public Library’s new podcast, “Book Chatter,” will premiere, with Longmont librarians discussing "Golem Girl: A Memoir" by Riva Lehrer.

On the second Friday of each month thereafter, another new 30- to 60-minute episode featuring a different book and a rotating group of librarians will be available via most podcast services. A complete list of upcoming titles is available at http://bit.ly/LibPrograms.

Patrons are encouraged to participate by reading the selected book, submitting their thoughts, comments or questions, and then listening in as their favorite librarians share their own reactions to and perspectives on that month’s title. Participating is easy; just send your thoughts:

All reader comments must be received two weeks prior to the podcast release date at the latest. Not all submissions will be chosen for inclusion in the podcast. Those that are selected may be paraphrased, condensed, edited or combined with other submissions.

Participants have the choice to remain anonymous or to be known by their first name and last initial, e.g. Jane D, and are asked to indicate their preference when they submit their comments.

The Book Chatter podcast is intended for adults. Some reading material and discussion topics may be unsuitable for those younger than 18.

Find Book Chatter on Spotify, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
