The Longmont Public Library will start a three-phase process to modernize the Library’s two interior elevators and exterior parking garage elevator. Starting June 27, construction crews will start work on the patron elevator located on the first floor by the holds section.

During construction, staff is happy to help patrons access the second floor by either using the staff elevator or asking at the first floor information desk to place holds on books, which would be available for pick-up on the first floor. Patrons will also be able to access their holds in the same location, albeit a slight layout change.

The patron elevator is expected to re-open late summer. Construction crews will then direct their attention to the staff elevator, with the final phase of construction being the elevator in the Library parking garage.
