The Longmont Public Library invites children, teens and adults to celebrate LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and creators by participating in FREE upcoming Pride Month activities including:
PRIDE Week @ the Library: Graphic Novelist Will Betke-Brunswick
In conversation with local artist and assistant professor Steven Frost
- 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14
- Longmont Library Meeting Rooms
- Registration required on Eventbrite
Graphic Novelist Will Betke-Brunswick will discuss their new memoir, A Pros and Cons List for Strong Feelings, with Steven Frost (they/them), an assistant professor in the Department of Media Studies at CU-Boulder and an interdisciplinary fiber artist. Copies will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow the talk.

Adults Creative Nights: DIY PRIDE! Buttons
- 5-6 p.m. on Thursdays, June 8 or June 22
- Unquiet Study Area upstairs

Make a prideful button for yourself of for someone else! Express and celebrate the wonderful colors of PRIDE. This program is offered in English and Spanish. Experience level - Beginner.
Teen LGBTQ+ Pride Month Crafts
- 1-2 p.m. on Friday, June 16
- Longmont Library Meeting Rooms
- For teens in 6th-12th grades
- Registration required online
Come make crafts and pronoun pins to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month at this fun event co-hosted by Open and Affirming Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity Support (OASOS). You can find more information about OASOS on the Boulder County Public Health website.
Rainbow Storytime: Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month
In partnership with Out Boulder County
- 1-2 pm on Saturday, June 24
- Longmont Library Meeting Rooms
- For kids of all ages
- No registration required
Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month with your Librarians and Out Boulder County with an all ages storytime! We'll read books by and about the LGBTQ+ community and families, dance, and sing together. Out Boulder County will join us with a resource table.
Mental Wellness Activities and Resources for Youth with Mental Health Partners
- 3-4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 23
- Longmont Library Children and Teen Services area
- For all ages from K-12
- No registration required
Join Community Health Workers from Mental Health Partners for simple wellness activities in our main area in Children and Teen Services. They will visit us every fourth Friday to share resources on mental health for youth and share tips for mental wellness.
Book displays and recommendations
The Longmont Librarians will have book displays and recommendations for PRIDE Month throughout the Library. Feel free to stop by any of the desks to get help finding a book, movie, audiobook, etc. you want!
Participate in PRIDE events throughout Boulder County — including Longmont PRIDE visibility march and festival in Roosevelt Park from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 30 — by visiting outboulder.org or one-colorado.org.
