Longmont Startup Week mixes in-person and virtual events

LONGMONT STARTUP WEEK

In keeping with its theme of Re(Vision), Longmont Startup Week is kicking-off its summer program with a week of “Re(Connect)” that includes lively, in-person, social and networking events to go along with its compelling virtual conference.

In addition to the online sessions featuring panels and presenters covering topics as varied as DEI to guerrilla marketing to startup investing, Longmont Startup Week has teamed up with local businesses to provide afternoons of music, food, drinks, and more. As viewers of the conference come together, they are encouraged to engage in these events that aim to increase networking and relationship building between conference attendees. Happy Hours, trivia nights, and food trucks are just a few of the exciting events to follow the collaborative virtual presentations during Longmont Startup Week.

Kick-off Party

MONDAY, July 26th: Kick-Off Party at Wibby Brewing. Food and drink will be available for purchase and live music will be on the pavilion stage.

Daily Happy Hours

Attend Longmont Startup Week happy hours for your chance to win giveaway prizes, access exclusive drink specials, network with other participants, and enjoy Longmont’s craft culture.

  • TUESDAY, July 27th: Networking Happy Hours at The Roost and Copper Sky Distillery
  • WEDNESDAY, July 28th: Networking Happy Hours at Grossen Bart and Quarters Bar+Arcade
  • THURSDAY, July 29th: Networking Happy Hours at Abbott & Wallace Distilling and Cyclhops

Closing Night Party

  • FRIDAY, July 30th: Wrap up the week at 300 Suns Brewing for Longmont-themed trivia, prizes, giveaways, and community! Top three trivia team(s) will receive prizes courtesy of 300 Suns, High Plains Bank, and Longmont Startup Week.

              o   Happy Hour Pricing from 4-6 p.m. ($1-off Beers)

              o   Trivia begins at 4:30 p.m.

              o   First 20 teams to arrive and register for trivia receive a FREE BEER!

              o   Top three trivia teams will receive a prize pack featuring 300 Suns swag, growlers, and glassware!

In addition to the remote presentations throughout the week, Startup Week attendees can choose to gather in person to view sessions and network in a “Zoom Room” housed at the Advance Longmont Center at 1925 Pike Road, Suite 202, in Longmont.

The Times Collaborative, a coworking space located at 338 Main Street, will also host attendees on a drop-in basis to watch presentations and network, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., each day.

This year’s panels and speakers come from a wide array of industries and represent some of Longmont’s, and Colorado’s, most inspirational leaders, such as Brian Ormsby from Boulder SBDC, Beth Smith from Sticker Giant, and Mark Ward of Ward Electric. A sampling of presentations and panels include:
