Major league license plates auctioned off to raise money for organization who support people with disabilities

Governor Jared Polis and Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera announced that the Colorado Disability Funding Committee is auctioning the rights to 10 Major League Baseball-themed license plates to celebrate the 2021 All-Star Game being hosted in Denver. “Coloradans can assist their friends and neighbors with disabilities and supporting organizations while showing their love for baseball and celebrating this year’s MLB All-Star game by bidding on an official Colorado license plate.

"This is an exciting opportunity,” said Governor Polis. 

“Colorado is thrilled to be hosting this year’s All-Star Game,” said Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera. “You’ll be able to cheer on your favorite players and teams and help fund programs for people with disabilities at the same time! From passing legislation that will lower the cost of healthcare and increase accessibility, to creating new funding streams for programs that support people with disabilities, our administration has taken important steps to ensure that the disability community in Colorado has access to the resources that they need to thrive.” 

The auction ends on July 14, 2021. More details on the auction. The proceeds of this auction will benefit organizations that provide innovative supports for people with disabilities. 

The full list of available license plate configurations is: GOROCKS, COORS, BBPLAYR, BLLPARK, ASTAR, COROCKY, DIAMND, DUGOUT, HOMRUN, VOTE. The auction ends July 14 at 8:00PM MST.
