Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Communications Center received a call shortly before 10 a.m. yesterday, July 24, regarding a possible deceased person near the Realization Point trailhead, a Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks’ property. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that there was a deceased female near the trailhead, just off the road.
After a preliminary investigation, we suspect foul play and are investigating this death as a homicide. We believe the victim and suspect(s) were likely known to each other. We do not believe that there is an ongoing threat to the community.
The cause and manner of death and identification of the decedent will be determined by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
