Public hearing for new and amended Election Rules scheduled for August

Today the Secretary of State issued a notice of rulemaking to consider permanent adoption of new and amended Elections Rules. Please see the link below to the attached Notice of Rulemaking. The notice includes details concerning the subject matter of the rulemaking, the public rulemaking hearing, a statement of basis, and preliminary draft of proposed rules.

The public rulemaking hearing is scheduled for August 3, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. This hearing will be conducted via webinar. Register for the webinar rulemaking hearing at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3181275682733744144. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

The Secretary values your feedback in our rulemaking process and we would very much like to hear your thoughts on the proposed elections rules amendments. Please review and consider the attached proposed draft rules. You may submit written comments to [email protected] regarding the proposed draft rules at any time prior to and during the hearing. We will redact apparent personal identifiable information, non-governmental email addresses, and cellular telephone numbers from submissions before posting the information online, unless otherwise directed by the contributor. All written comments will be added to the official rulemaking record.
