NEWS RELEASE
BOULDER COUNTY
*************************

In response to requests from residents, crews will conduct another round of curbside collection of wind- and fire-damaged items from homes that were not destroyed by the Marshall Fire starting Thursday, March 24. The collection work is weather permitting.

Please place wind- and/or smoke-damaged items that qualify for collection on your curb, as shown in this informational flyer, before 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 24. Crews will be making sweeps through impacted neighborhoods (see map) to gather any remaining materials. There is no need to submit a request for a pickup.

Debris will not be collected during this phase from homes destroyed by the Marshall Fire. That material will be collected during the county’s debris removal program for property owners who have opted to participate. Homeowners who have opted out of the debris removal program are responsible for safe cleanup and proper disposal of material from their property.

Curbside collection is not available for commercial properties at this time.

There will be multiple trucks making passes through neighborhoods that are focused on collecting a specific stream of material. If a truck passes by a home and does not stop, it is likely that this truck is picking up material that has not been put in front of that home, and a different truck(s) will be by soon to collect the material on that property.

Curbside collection participants are asked to place items curbside and segregate smoke- and wind-damaged items based on the instructions provided here.

For more information on the curbside debris pickup, send an email to [email protected].
