NEWS RELEASE
LONGMONT PUBLIC LIBRARY
*************************
Looking for volunteering opportunities? Have NHS, IB or school credits that you need to complete? We have some great options for teens who want to give something back to their communities, and we really appreciate our teen volunteers.

Our Library building remains closed to the public due to construction. But because we want you to stay connected to your Library and we want to stay connected to you, we're continuing our online Teen Library Committee.

Now more than ever, we need your energy, ideas, and feedback on how we can make this THE best library for tweens and teens. Join other teens to brainstorm and work collaboratively on fun, teen-chosen projects.

This volunteer opportunity is 100% virtual and will take the place of our normal Summer Volunteer program. Project examples include planning programs, displays, or writing book reviews to benefit the Library. Solo projects are also available.

  • Our Summer Volunteer Program runs from Monday, June 7 through Monday, July 26 , 2021.
  • All prospective volunteers must complete and submit an application between Monday, May 3 at 10 am and Friday, May 28 at 5 pm to be considered.
  • Volunteers will be expected to attend online Teen Library Committee meetings on Mondays throughout June and July (except for July 5), from 6 to 7 pm.
  • Open to all students in grades 6th - 12th.
  • Those selected will need to attend a short virtual orientation.
  • Complete information is available on both the online and printable application. Please read it carefully before signing.

Two ways to apply! Visit this page to apply online or to download and print out the volunteer application. If you're using a printed application, you can scan it and email or drop it off with the Curbside Delivery staff outside the Library. Complete details are included on the application page.
