The Longmont Museum’s contemporary art exhibit, “Washi Transformed,” closes May 15. The exhibit showcases more than 30 dramatic installations, sculptures and two-dimensional works made out of washi paper by nine contemporary Japanese artists. Japanese washi paper has been used for more than 1,000 years in painting, calligraphy, origami and other traditional art forms. See the exhibit that the Denver Post called “delicate and awe-inspiring” before it’s gone! Learn more at LongmontMusem.org or call 303-651-8374.
