Museum Seeking Feedback on Master Plan
The Longmont Museum is asking residents to share their opinions about the master development plan for the Museum. Visit Engage.LongmontColorado.gov and click on the “Longmont Museum Master Plan” project to view the high-level concepts of floor plans and site plans. Then, share your thoughts in the six-question survey. Call the Museum at 303-651-8374 if you need assistance.
SilverSneakers® Lunch & Learns
Join Recreation Services from noon-1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month for a SilverSneakers® educational class! A different topic will be covered each session. Upcoming topics include food and function; diet and exercise trends; and stability, balance and strength training. For ages 55 and older; classes are free for SilverSneakers®/Renew Active™ members. Tree Planting to Celebrate 150th Birthday
Longmont’s turning a new leaf in its history … by planting a tree! A bur oak will be planted on Thursday, June 10 in Collyer Park, 619 Collyer St., in honor of Longmont’s 150th anniversary. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. and is open to the public. Please allow spacing between groups when arriving. The event will be recorded by Longmont Public Media.
Outdoor Fitness Classes in the Park
Enjoy a workout in the fresh air! Join Recreation fitness instructors for weekday outdoor fitness classes at various parks throughout Longmont. Friday classes in June — including Pilyoga, Bollywood, and Zumba — are free. For ages 14 and older; no childcare is available. Registration is required online at LongmontColorado.gov/rec or call 303-774-4700.
Longmont Library Hosts ‘Twisted Minds’
Join the Longmont Librarians from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, for a look into the phenomenon of the serial killer: their history, methods, and psychology. The event will be guided by Richard Estep, a well-known local author of “Serial Killers: The Minds, Methods, and Mayhem of History’s Most Notorious Murderers.” Register online at bit.ly/LibPrograms.

Looking for a Longmont crime map? The Longmont Public Safety Department updates an interactive crime map online every four hours. For the most recent map, visit bit.ly/LongmontCrimeMaps. The public can select to view crimes in Longmont, or specific crimes in specific areas of the city.
Fight the Bite — West Nile
The mosquito-borne West Nile virus can cause serious illness, even death. The City contracts for monitoring and adult spraying throughout the summer. To stay informed about monitoring results, the spraying schedule, and things you can do to prevent West Nile virus, visit LongmontColorado.gov/WestNile.
2020 Drinking Water Quality Report Available Online
The City of Longmont department of Public Works & Natural Resources is pleased to announce that the 2020 Water Quality Report is available online at bit.ly/drinking-water-longmont. You will find information about Longmont’s drinking water and results of the most recent tests that were done on our drinking water.
Comments Requested on 2020 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report
The City of Longmont requests comments on its Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program covering the 2020 calendar year. Please attend the public hearing and/or submit comments in writing by June 25, 2021. See the news release.
