DocuPet now official pet licensing center

DocuPet is now the official pet licensing center for the City of Longmont, as all dogs and cats must be yearly licensed and vaccinated against rabies. The City believes proper identification is critical to safely getting pets home and reducing shelter intakes and associated fees. Of the 6.5 million pets that enter shelters, about 11% are reunited with their owners. The DocuPet system will be live beginning mid-February. Visit longmontcolorado.gov and search "animals" for pet licensing and municipal code information. For additional information at Longmont Public Safety by calling 303-651-8501 or email at [email protected].
