RTD: Zero Fare for Better Air in August

As a result of new state legislation, all RTD services are free throughout the month of August to help improve air quality. While everyone has access to fare-free transit on all RTD local and Access-a-Ride buses year-round within Longmont, the regional and express buses in and out of Longmont still require fares or passes. In August, routes like the BOLT between Longmont and Boulder, and the LD bus services between Longmont and Denver will be free. Visit rtd-denver.com to plan your trip.

Prepare for emergencies with CERT classes

The next Longmont Public Safety CERT class starts Sept. 10, 2022 and is being held on three consecutive Saturdays. Disasters can severely restrict and overwhelm emergency responders, and in some cases, communities can be cut off from outside emergency support. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training teaches community members how to prepare for emergencies. Team members learn to take care of themselves and to help others in their communities until first responders arrive. There is no cost to attend. There are 30 seats available. Register at http://bit.ly/2Iw97E5.
