Be ready for spring branch collection
The city of Longmont provides residents with a curbside collection of tree limbs each spring. To participate, your tree limbs must be placed curbside (no alley collection) before 7 a.m. on the Monday of your scheduled collection week. Crews go through each neighborhood only once during specified collection dates:

  • Residences located north of Ninth Avenue: Week of April 5
  • Residences located south of Ninth Avenue: Week of April 12

Limbs cannot be larger than 6 inches in diameter and no longer than 6 feet in length. Stack your limbs in bundles no bigger than 3 feet high. View full guidelines and details at bit.ly/springbranches or call 303-651-8416 with questions.

Scan, fax your documents at the library
Just in time for Uncle Sam’s tax filings, the Longmont Public Library is introducing a new photocopier that allows patrons to securely and privately scan documents and then send them via fax or email to another destination — for free. The service is available in the Adult Computer Lab, which currently requires reservations due to pandemic restrictions. Call 303-651-8769 to make your 15-minute reservation.

Breathe easier and save
Small habits can make a big difference in indoor air quality and your energy bill. Set a reminder to change your HVAC filter quarterly. Learn more sustainability tips at bit.ly/sustainability-longmont.

Save money and green your home
If you want to reduce your energy, water and waste bills, receive free eco-upgrades for your home, and learn how to make more sustainable lifestyle choices, sign up to receive a free home visit from the city's Sustainable Opportunities, Lifestyle and Leadership, or SOLL, program. Following its successful launch in 2020, SOLL is now being offered across the city, so join in and invite your neighbors. BCPH health and safety guidelines apply. Learn more and easily apply online at bit.ly/LongmontSOLL. Email or call for more details at [email protected] or 303-651-8416.
