Winter Bike to Work Day: Friday, Feb. 10
Winter Bike to Work Day is Friday, Feb. 10! Join others in Boulder County (and beyond) who brave the winter weather on bike to reach their destination. From 7:30-9 a.m., warm up with hot beverages and snacks at the Development Services Center, 385 Kimbark St. For safe cycling tips or route recommendations, contact Traffic Safety Coordinator Lauren Greenfield at 303-774-4547.

Friends of Longmont Library Book Sale
Support Longmont Library programs and services by shopping at the Friends of the Longmont Library Book Sale on Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, Feb. 18. Teachers: Stop by the Longmont Library lobby, 409 Fourth Ave., from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, to fill a grocery bag for $5. Then, from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, everyone can fill a grocery bag for $5! Visit the Library website for full details or call the Library at 303-651-8470.

Windows to Wellness Health Fair
Treat yourself to a day of wellness at the Windows to Wellness Fair on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Ave. Free sample fitness classes and health talks will be happening throughout the day, and you can sign up for 10- or 20-minute sessions for $10 or $20 (cash only – please bring small bills) with alternative wellness practitioners and holistic healers. Skate Night, Date Night!
Bring your special plus-one (all ages invited) for an evening of Valentine-themed ice skating from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 at the Longmont Ice Pavilion, 725 8th Ave. This is a special event; one half of the couple must be registered and present to attend. The fee of $16/resident, $20/non-resident includes admission for two people and ice skates. Red, pink, white, gold and silver are all preferred colors for this fun, themed event! Friday Afternoon Concert at Museum
Join us monthly (February-April and September-December) for a series of lively afternoon concerts in the Longmont Museum’s acoustically marvelous Stewart Auditorium featuring an eclectic array of musical acts from up and down the Front Range. Hot off a tour of France, Purnell Steen & The Five Points Ambassadors return for an afternoon of jazz drawn from the Duke Ellington songbook starting at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10. Register for summer day camp(s)
Make memories with Longmont Recreation and Golf Services! Registration for the Longmont Summer Day Camp (ages 5-10) and Expedition Tween Camp (ages 11-12) opens in February. Operating out of the St. Vrain Memorial Building at 700 Longs Peak Ave., campers enjoy swimming twice a week, local field trips, and weekly themed activities. See if you qualify for a toilet rebate
Applying for a toilet rebate? Make sure you qualify:

  • Was your home built before 1994? Business and multifamily customers can also participate; visit the website below for more details.
  • Is your new toilet’s gallon per flush (GPF) 1.1 GPF or less? Dual-flush toilet tip: Look for 0.8/1.28 toilets when shopping. 1.1/1.6 toilets DO NOT qualify.
  • Is your new toilet WaterSense certified and does it have a MaP Score of 600g or greater? Not all WaterSense toilets qualify.

Remember, when using any toilet, never flush 1) rags and t-shirts, 2) “flushable” wipes, or 3) diapers.

TNT! Thursday Night Teens at Museum
TNT is a free, weekly drop-in program dedicated to teenagers (ages 13-18 years old) who want to explore their creative selves! From Feb. 2 through April 27, meet at the Longmont Museum each week to explore a variety of activities such as bullet journaling, string pull painting and free-choice maker-space time. Itty Bitty City Preschool Playtime
Itty Bitty City is back on Fridays from 9-11 a.m. through May 12 at the Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Ave. Snow or shine, our toys are divine! Kids ages six months to five years have lots of room to run and play in the gym. Parents must supervise their children. Cost is $4 per child or $34 for a 10-visit pass.
