My wife and I moved to Longmont and started our business 28 years ago.

Our owner-employees are struggling to find suitable housing here in Longmont. We have discovered that higher commuting time correlates with higher turnover. Other businesses and organizations in Longmont are seeing the same thing. Longmont is in the midst of a housing crisis. We need leadership from city council to help address this issue now for the people who keep our city working.

Dr. Tim Waters is the man for the season. He listens and seeks to understand the complexity of issues such as housing prior to determining solutions. He looks for common ground rather than advocating for cultural issues that divide us. He supports the collective impact model and strategic plans Longmont leadership has adopted to move our city forward. Electing him will help ensure that we use actual data to more effectively identify the size of the housing gap and to address the need for adequate housing.

Housing is a key factor in Longmont’s long-term economic viability. Dr. Tim Waters is solution-oriented and an experienced organizational leader. As the most qualified candidate in the mayoral race, he merits your vote.
