Turnout has already been remarkably high in the elections this year. For those of you who haven’t yet turned in your ballot, I wanted to let you know that I strongly support Tracey Bernet for House District 12. As I have gotten to know Tracey over the past couple of years, I have been very impressed with her intellect, drive and determination to do what’s right. She is someone I trust to fight for progressive values, including affordable housing, racial justice and education. She will lead on environmental protection, to support investing in green technologies, smart growth and sustainable infrastructure. We need someone in this position who will stand up to the oil and gas industry and fight to protect our communities from fracking.
Tracey is the kind of leader we need in Boulder County because she understands how to work with people from diverse backgrounds and ideologies to make change. She won’t stand on the sidelines, she’ll be in the fight against climate change day in and day out. That’s why I’m pleased to be enthusiastically supporting her for Colorado House District 12.
