Boulder County is conducting a community-wide needs assessment to "improve services being offered to individuals who need a range of I/DD supports," states the Boulder County website.

According to Boulder County intellectual and developmental disabilities are defined as:

  • A disability that is manifested before the person reaches 22 years of age or brain injury acquired as an adult
  • A disability attributed to a diagnosed intellectual disability or related conditions which include cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, or other neurological conditions when such conditions result in either impairment of general intellectual functioning or adaptive behavior similar to that of a person with a diagnosed intellectual disability.

Feedback on the issue can be given in three ways:

1. Take our survey! English or Spanish Surveys are available until the end of September, 2018.

2. Participate in a community forum on Oct. 1, at the St. Vrain Community Hub (515 Coffman Street, Longmont) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected]
