The growth of sports betting in Colorado continues to skyrocket with a monthly record of $326.9 million wagered in January, according to a report from the state’s department of revenue.

A breakdown for how Colorado sports gamblers placed their bets to begin 2021...

• NBA: $88M

• NFL: $74M

• NCAA basketball: $39M

• Table tennis: $11M

• NHL: $9M

The state department’s gaming division said taxes collected in January totaled $1.19 million -- an increase of more than $400,000 from the previous month -- with the majority of funds going toward the state’s water plan as approved by voters in November 2019.
