Following advisories from the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization concerning public safety in relation to the COVID-19 virus, Colorado State University’s Center for Public Deliberation (CPD) and Platte River Power Authority jointly decided to cancel the Thursday evening focus group session at the Fort Collins Drake Center, to discuss Platte River Power Authority’s future energy mix options.

For those who had planned to attend the Fort Collins event and participate in the process, the CPD will deploy an online opportunity by the end of the week. This option will be found on the CPD’s website page for Platte River. The site will feature a brief presentation about the process, documents that explain background and energy mix options, and a survey for participants to fill out. All information will be assimilated and evaluated with the information obtained at the focus group meetings held in Platte River’s other three owner communities.

Platte River apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused. As your public power provider, we take the safety of our owner communities and our employees seriously. Thank you for your understanding.
