February is Black History month. The Second Baptist Church is celebrating their annual Black History program with their Super Soul Weekend. The theme of this event is Moments in History: Dreams in Real Time, is designed "to honor our past and broaden our future," states the church's website.
Saturday, February 17, will host youth activities and a pancake breakfast. In addition, keynote speaker Corene Lewis, a member of the church, will be present. Saturday activities are from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Sunday, February 18, will feature a "Walk Through History" immediately following the 11 a.m. service. Light refreshments will be provided.
