The League of Women Voters Boulder County (LWV) is hosting a Drinks and Dialogue event on Monday, August 13 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the St. Vrain Cidery, located at 350 Terry St., Longmont.
The topic of discussion is campaign finance with guest speaker Sandra Fish.
According to an event announcement by LWV, "Sandra is a data journalist and freelance writer for the Colorado Independent. She also runs #COpolitics."

Salsa Night with the Longmont Observer
Join the Longmont Observer, Kakes Studio, and Wild Game for a night of Salsa dancing.
The event is on Friday, August 24 from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Wild Game, located at 2251 Ken Pratt Blvd.
From 6:30-7:30 p.m., Mamie Kakes of Kakes Studio is offering professional Salsa instruction. The instruction is followed by a dance party from 7:30-9 p.m.
Ticket prices:
- $10 for admission to the Salsa instruction and the dance party
- $5 for admission to the dance party

Boulder County's Office of Sustainability Seeks Input From Local Farmers in Survey
Boulder County’s Office of Sustainability is seeking the input of local farmers and ranchers on ways the county can support them in achieving environmental sustainability in their agricultural practices.
The areas of interest include: what farmers and ranchers are currently doing to conserve resources, what barriers exist, and how Boulder County can support the efforts of farmers and ranchers.
The survey is short and anonymous and is designed to give Boulder County the information it needs to "help focus our efforts in promoting environmental sustainability in the ag community," states a press release from Boulder County.

According to the press release, to "learn more about agricultural sustainability in Chapter 7: Local Food & Agriculture (1.2MB PDF) of the Boulder County Environmental Sustainability Plan. The Environmental Sustainability Plan is intended to articulate Boulder County’s vision to create a more environmentally sustainable community as well as provide a blueprint for achieving our collective environmental sustainability."
