St. Vrain Valley School District hosted a partnership event at Ollin Farms on Saturday to highlight Colorado produce, nutrition education, parent resources and engagement activities.

St. Vrain Valley School District hosted a partnership event at Ollin Farms on Saturday to highlight Colorado produce, nutrition education, parent resources and engagement activities.

The event was to celebrate Tuesday’s Colorado Proud Schools Meal Day and was in partnership with the Boulder Valley School District, Slow Food Boulder and Ollin Farms. Additional groups there included Boulder County Farmer’s Market and BOCO Youth Transportation.

The event highlighted St. Vrain’s Farm to School Agriscience mentorship programming, food rescue, Trip Tracker and parent resource.

Colorado Proud Schools Meal Day celebrates Colorado agriculture and educates schoolchildren about healthy eating. Agribusinesses contribute $47 billion to the state economy annually and provide more than 195,000 jobs.
