The St. Vrain Valley School District has named the new principal of Timberline PK-8 in Longmont.

Audrey Seybold, the current principal of Columbine Elementary School, is set to replace Timberline’s current principal, Kerin McClure, in July.

The district approved the hire during Wednesday’s regular Board of Education meeting.

Seybold thanked the board and praised Timberline PK-8’s accomplishments.

“I’m looking forward to continuing that work and working closely with the incredible Timberline students, parents and staff, and supporting their exceptional work as they build a school community that really promotes positive outcomes for all students,” Seybold said.

Seybold earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology Education from Saint Louis University in Missouri. She has a master’s degree in Math and Science Leadership and her Principal Licensure from the University of Colorado Denver, where she is currently pursuing a doctorate in education.

Before she joined Columbine Elementary School, Seybold spent several years working as an assistant principal in the Adams 12 Five Star School District. Prior to that role, she spent a decade working as a science teacher in the district.
