LONGMONT, Colo. – Paris has delighted, romanced, confounded and eluded writers for centuries. As a setting for a novel or the object of a poem, the City of Light beckons writers to revel in its culture and reveal its mysteries. In her latest book, The Light of Paris, New York Times and #1 international bestselling author Eleanor Brown writes of Paris’ lure as a beacon of independence, art appreciation, and individuality for her heroine who has a life with everything she needs and nothing that matters. Brown will visit the Longmont Public Library to talk about her book, as well as her forthcoming anthology, A Paris All Your Own: Bestselling Women Writers on the City of Light, on Thursday, November 2, from 7 to 8 pm.
Brown’s writing has been called “delightful” by People magazine and “creative and original” by Library Journal. Her debut novel, The Weird Sisters, brought her success and a place on the New York Times Bestseller’s List. While born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Brown now lives in Colorado. In her spare time, she teaches writing workshops at the Writers’ Table in Highlands Ranch and at Lighthouse Writers Workshop in Denver, as well as at writing conferences and centers nationwide.
