Two Longmont artists will be featured in one of Colorado’s largest juried fine art shows.

The Colorado Governor's Art Show and Sale exclusively features Colorado artists, with 62 selected for the 32nd annual event. The Longmont-based artists are Sabrina Stiles and Parker McDonald.

Stiles is primarily a contemporary impressionist artist creating works on paper, including the four pastel pieces that will be featured at the Governor’s Art Show. According to her artist’s biography, her goal is to capture the feeling or mood of the scene.

Her work has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, American Art Collector, The Artists Magazine, The Pastel Journal and Northlight Books.

“My hope is that my paintings will evoke a feeling of connection to a time and place that resonates with others,” Stiles said in her biography.

The art show will feature three sculptures by McDonald, two done in metal and one with a mix of materials.

“I feel most at home in the shop surrounded by all my tools and piles of metal waiting to be built into something with life and personality,” McDonald said. “Welders, hammers, dust, metals, a pot of coffee on and some classical music. A world of creative potential.”

The show and sale will be May 6-June 11 at the Loveland Museum. The Governor’s Art Show includes sculpture, mixed media, oil, pastel, watercolor and acrylic paintings including 17 new artists.

The majority of the artwork in this year’s show is one of a kind and available for purchase. The museum hours are noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays. Exhibit admission is $7 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
