Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley and Lowe’s invite women to build up their communities during National Women Build Week 2018

During May 9-12, local volunteers including individuals, faith-based groups, corporate groups

and government employees will come together to help build 9 homes for low-income working families and individuals in the St. Vrain Valley.

WHAT: Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley will gather more than 75 volunteers to

help build homes in the St. Vrain Valley. Volunteers will build in South Longmont and Lyons as part of National Women Build Week. The focus this year is building homes for Lyons residents displaced by the 2013 flood.

Now in its 11th year, National Women Build Week, an initiative created by Habitat

for Humanity and Lowe’s, has brought together more than 117,000 all-women

construction volunteers to build or repair more than 4,500 homes. This year, Lowe’s

donated nearly $2 million to Habitat for Humanity to support the 2018 National

Women Build Week, which is set to take place in 300 communities nationwide.

WHEN: May 9, 10, 11 and 12 from 9 am to 4:30 pm

WHERE: Lyons ReBuild construction site is located at 112 Park Avenue, Lyons CO

Poplar Grove construction site is located at 816 South Coffman Street, Longmont CO

WHO: Volunteers include employees of Lowe’s; staff from the Town of Lyons; members of

the Left Hand Giving Circle; and, members of Flatirons Community Church and the

Lyons Community Church.
