LONGMONT, Colo. – We’ve all heard the phrase “Fake News,” but how do you know what’s true, what’s false and what lies in the murky space in between? Working journalists from the Longmont Times-Call will share practical tips and tricks for discerning credible news sources from fake news, plus give a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the news industry at this library program on Thursday, April 19, from 7 to 8:30 pm. As new media continues to replace traditional news delivery, being able to recognize legitimate news stories from those that are fictional or heavily slanted becomes increasingly important.  Join this panel of journalism professionals for a revealing and enlightening look at how modern news is created and distributed.
