Longmont Museum offering three virtual summer camps July 27-31

The camps, for children ages 3 to 16 and will explore arts and crafts and science. Each camp will be held online in a secure meeting room with activities planned away from the screen, according to an email from the Museum.

Three new virtual summer camps are planned at the Longmont Museum for the final days of July.

The camps, for children ages 3 to 16 and will explore arts and crafts and science. Each camp will be held online in a secure meeting room with activities planned away from the screen, according to an email from the Museum.

Camps planned for July 27-31 are:

Retro Arts & Crafts

“Alright moms and dads, do you remember what summer camp used to look like for us? Give your kiddos a taste of the good ole days as we make classics, like friendship bracelets and lanyards.”

For ages 8 to 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost: $125. Register here

Sculpture & 3D Art

“Bring your ideas to life as you create 3D artworks using modeling clay, wire, fabric, paper, and creative use of some common everyday items.” 

For ages 8 to 12 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Cost: $125. Register here.

Crash Course in Force! Mini Science Stars

“Learn and build. Forces exist all around us! They keep planes in the sky, boats above water, and let cars move forward. Focusing on the science of movement, we'll build a Newton's car, catapult, air cannon, and more.”

For ages 6 to 8 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost: $185. Register here

The cost of all camps includes a specialized kit of supplies to be picked up outside the Museum the week prior to camp. Need-based scholarships are available.
