The Longmont Theatre Company is a nonprofit whose mission is to "provide high quality entertainment with a strong educational component for and by the citizens of the Greater Boulder County area and to successfully manage a self-sufficient performing arts center."

The Longmont Theatre Company began, without a name, when Longmont United Hospital hosted a fundraiser in 1957 to furnish rooms in the newly-built hospital.

After bouncing around Longmont, adopting the name the Potpourri Players, the theatre company found a home in the Old Trojan Theatre on Main Street in the late 1980s.

Since the Longmont Theatre Company has thrived on Main Street producing seven or more shows a year.

For the past three years, Faye Lamb has served as the Longmont Theatre Company's president. This year, the company re-elected her as their president stating that "Lamb is the first president in a decade to lead the 62 year old theatre company to financial success."

Lamb's success has seen record high ticket sales, many sold out shows, new staff positions, major repairs to the theatre building, and a newly installed screen resulting in the creation of the New Trojan Movie House program.

The other officers were also reelected. Those positions include:

  • Vice President - Kurt Keilbach
  • Treasurer - Greg Schumann
  • Secretary - Emma Dehner

The Longmont Theatre Company also elected several board members to three year terms:

  • Peg Bolan
  • Rob Mess
  • Tanya Daugherty
  • Judy Ernst

The 2019-2020 Longmont Theatre Company season will be announced soon. The New Trojan Movie House is featuring the Star Wars Trilogy in August.
