Written by Macie May: Arts Longmont is hosting their HeARTS of the West fundraiser on Saturday, August 25, from 7-10 p.m. at D-Barn, located at 136 S. Main St., Longmont.
The event is themed in an Old West style. All proceeds will benefit Arts Longmont.
Entertainment for the evening includes being greeted by the Rodeo Queen and her court, The Rowdy Country Combo provide musical entertainment, a live auction and a "chance to bail Mayor Bagley out of jail," states an event announcement.

Updates to the Boulder County Floodplain with Approval of Docket Z-17-0002
The following is a press release from Boulder County and is published by the Longmont Observer as a public service.
Boulder County Transportation received approval from the Board of County Commissioners for Docket Z-17-0002: Zoning Map Amendments to the Floodplain Overlay District Based on CHAMP Phase II Floodplain Mapping and other best available information after a public hearing on July 24, 2018. The resulting floodplain map amendments include the following changes to the Boulder County Official Floodplain Map:
